It’s the beginning of 2013 and 2012 had many ups and downs. My daughter Liné was born on August 2012 and I couldn’t devote that much time to my own digital marketing strategies and campaigns from then on. I haven’t blogged on my personal blog (antonkoekemoer.com) in over a month and I couldn’t devote that much time to my own social media marketing campaigns because I didn’t have a plan on managing my time now that we have a baby.

This clearly shows that you should always have a plan that outlines your marketing goals and strategies. You should also be able to adjust your goals when something happens and it keeps you from reaching your objectives. This December holiday was great. I took a few days off to clear my head and sat down to work on an exciting plan for 2013 and to manage my time efficiently in the new year.

Planning for 2013 and beyond

2013 is going to be a great year and I decided that I will be devoting much more time to my own digital marketing strategies. From next week I will post at least 2 new blog posts on my own blog to get the ball rolling again. I will also be seeking out guest blog opportunities so if you have a blog related to mine, leave a comment below or contact me if you are interested for some guest blog posts.

Last month I read a great book by Chris Brogan and Julien Smith – The Impact Equation and it was a great read on building your own platform online for your marketing efforts. If you haven’t read that book yet, put it on your to read list. I will be putting the strategies in the book  to use in the next couple of months so check back regularly as I have many new ideas I will be testing out.

What are your plans for 2013?
