A busy digital marketing company is looking for an experienced Community Manager to handle a wide variety of clients’ social media strategies and community building initiatives. The ideal candidate should be a multi-tasker with a dedication to excellence and be able to pay meticulous attention to detail.
The Community Manager will regularly meet with clients (which includes everything from hardware companies and technology ventures to wedding venues, paint suppliers and new start-ups) to discuss their social media and digital marketing strategies. You must be able to drive and manage a project, suggest blog topic ideas, know how to post content across social networks like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and be able to act as an online brand advocate.
Many of our clients are busy executives who need somebody to take initiative and create, maintain and manage their social profiles and online engagements. You will be tasked with online networking and daily communications for various brands – if you know how to start a conversation, we want you on our team!
Duties
- Scan news feeds on a daily basis to find interesting articles and blogs to share across relevant client profiles;
- Write tweets, Facebook posts and post blogs to client sites and other platforms
- Play a lead role in project development and work closely with a project manager, graphic designer, copywriter and internet marketing consultants
- Brief copywriters on content strategies
- Drive the community building initiatives across various brands. You will need to know their brands inside and out and be able to network and communicate for our clients
- Monitor social media dashboards and reply to comments and tweets
- Monitor trends in social media platforms
- Develop campaigns and promotions to help with brand awareness and community involvement
- Provide monthly feedback to clients on insights gained from community monitoring and engagements
Requirements
- Three years experience in marketing, PR or communications with a specific focus on digital marketing. A diploma in Brand Management from AAA School of Advertising or VEGA would be advantageous
- Relevant qualification in marketing, communications or Public Relations
- Solid grasp of social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, SlideShare etc
- Knowledge of CMS systems
- Basic understanding of CSS and HTML
- Basic understanding of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
